Congratulations to Diplo, who will be taking home the win for ASCAP's Vanguard Award at this year's Pop Music Awards. Now in its 30th year, the awards ceremony honors publishers, songwriters and producers throughout several categories, the Vanguard focusing on artists that play an important role in shaping the future of American music.
This week, the NME Awards will honor musicians for their inspiring work throughout 22 categories. The Windish Agency team is well represented with six amazing artists nominated: Alt-J, Crystal Castles, Grimes, Peace, Peter Hook and Solange.
Last night, Sweden held their annual GRAMMY Awards ceremony, recognizing winners for their hard work over the last year. The Windish Agency is proud of our overseas winners -- First Aid Kit took home an astounding four awards, including Best Album, Best Artist, Best Composer and Best Pop. Icona Pop went home with a win for Best Newcomer, and Steve Angello's group Swedish House Mafia won the award for International Success.

Last night, the 55th annual GRAMMY Awards took place in Los Angeles. With 10 nominations, three wins and one live performance, The Windish Agency's artists had a huge presence. We're so proud! Congrats to Gotye for taking home the award for Record of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album for Making Mirrors, as well as Best Pop Duo for his collaboration with Kimbra for "Somebody That I Used To Know."
We won! After taking part in industry panels, hosting a get together at Echoplex with friends and colleagues and attending the 24th annual Pollstar Awards ceremony, the week concluded with The Windish Agency receiving the award for Independent Booking Agency of the Year. We are honored, grateful and somewhat speechless.

Today, The Voting Academy revealed their selections for the 2013 nominees, and The Windish Agency saw three of our talented artists -- Alt-J, Gotye and The xx -- commended across an astounding four categories.
As the year comes to a close, the best-of lists are in, and The Windish Agency artists left an unmistakable mark on the year. Special recognition was paid in Pitchfork's 50 Best Albums of 2012, where 20 of our talented acts were recognized for remarkable music made throughout 2012.

Led by Justin Bumper Reeve, the boutique music placement and licensing company represents labels, publishers, songwriters and artists, and services to film, television, advertising and video games.
Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs, and Jim Macpherson played their first show together on Friday June 19, 1992, in a snooker hall behind Warrington Rugby Club in the north of England, near Manchester. Two days later they supported Nirvana in Dublin and Belfast, and then played at Glastonbury. Back in the US, after playing 27 sold-out shows that fall, they made their way to San Francisco to record Last Splash.
