An irrepressible garage-pop 'n' surf-punk pair that burst out of Australia's Gold Coast in 2010, Bleeding Knees Club have won hearts and minds through a reckless live reputation and, on the recorded front, with a swag of super-catchy tunes on their debut EP "Virginity".
At home they quickly landed tours with the likes of Wavves and Lightspeed Champion, as well as a slot on the revered Big Day Out festival in January. The visceral thrill of EP cuts "Have Fun" and "Bad Guys" saw them flogged on Australian radio, and also made the rest of the world quickly sit up and take notice.

In May, Bleeding Knees Club temporarily relocated to the UK where they shared stages with Black Lips, Cults, Toro y Moi, Cerebral Ballzy and many more. They also scored spots on tastemaker festivals The Great Escape in Brighton, and Liverpool Sound City.
Notoriously hard-to-impress UK music bible NME fawningly named them as one of the 50 Best New Bands of 2011, and fresh London singles label Noir snapped them up for a one-off 7”.
Jordan and Alex then high-tailed it to New York City, to record their forthcoming debut album with new BFF Dev Hynes (from Lightspeed Champion and Blood Orange) as producer. The upcoming record encapsulates everything that’s made the world fall in love with Bleeding Knees Club these past 12 months: it’s a raw ‘n’ urgent set of super-fun songs about girls, getting high, and sticking it to The Man.
Since returning to Australia from New York City in July, Bleeding Knees Club’s blistering run continued, hitting the road with local legends The Vines on their national tour.
During the madness the duo added a 3rd full time member, with Matt Woods joining the fray on drums, just in time to wow Big Sound and Changing Lanes crowds in early September.
After inking a deal with LA-Based Label IAMSOUND (Florence & The Machine, Active Child), BKC released album preview single Teenage Girls worldwide, with a clip that will take most people back to the joys of formative years. Their Virginity EP is released in the USA on October 18th, just in time for their key IAMSOUND, NME & Windish Agency showcases at CMJ Music Marathon, NYC.
Following a Month Long Stint in the US, BKC return home for Summer Festivities the release of Teenage Girls, including spots at Homebake and The Falls (Lorne). This good-time duo are truly bringing the party the world-over. Catch them wherever, whenever you can … it’s time to join the Club!
