It’s no surprise that Italian duo Blatta & Inesha were slated by XLR8R magazine alongside countrymen Crookers, Bloody Beetroots, and Congorock as “six of the country’s top party rockers.” With roots in Rock & Roll and turntablism (Inesha is a 2-time Italian DMC Champion) it’s always guaranteed that Blatta & Inesha is going to put on a good show.

Splatters of sweat, chaos, and anything from Techno to Electro to 70’s Italo Disco are the ingredients for their shows and music and the reason for their constantly growing popularity and rabid fan base.

With releases on Dim Mak, Kitsune, Lektroluv, Mental Groove, Wearhouse, and Crux, to name a few, and remixes for Plump DJs, Meat Katie, Benny Benassi, GTRONIC, Pink is Punk on Universal Records, and a recent collaboration with Mustard Pimp the guys catalogue only continues to grow and impress.

With an upcoming track on Dim Mak in 2012 and a new collaboration with the LA duo Casino Gold their bass driven Techno-Electro hybrid will continue being blasted around the world. Whether it’s playing tastemaker festivals like Marsatac in France for 10,000 people alongside the likes of Mr. Oizo and Erol Alkan, or World DJ Festival in Seoul, South Korea, or at super clubs like Womb in Tokyo, the duo has been working crowds all over the world into a frenzy for years. With support from other top tier DJs, tunes topping industry charts, and repetitive plays on BBC Radio 1 shows hosted by Kissy Sell Out and Annie Nightingale, there’s no doubt Blatta & Inesha are here to make some noise.

Recently the boys hailing from Sicily have turned their bass music sound into an underground music phenomenon across Europe and the US after receiving a 5 star review in DJ Mag (“No doubt on heavy rotation by Boys Noize…”) Solidifying B&I’s propensity for Techno they collaborated on a track with Calvertron, which has won a spot on Lee Mortimer’s new Wearhouse compilation that includes tracks also by Laidback Luke.

Electro and Techno are not the only place they are known for their talents. They have been commissioned to remix top indie pop acts such as Pony Pony Run Run, Telepopmusik and Axel and the Farmers, all of which have enjoyed time as Hype Machine’s #1 favorited tracks. As well as a recent team up with Italy’s budding hip hop superstars Videomind, for which B&I created a remix that will be the bands first single to drop for the new album and is set with MTV Italy to be on regular rotation.
