Manitoba change name to Caribou...Dan Snaith, who released the albums Up In Flames (2003) and Start Breaking My Heart (2001) under the name Manitoba, has changed his name to Caribou following a lawsuit in the US.

Congrats to Mimi J. Parker and G. Alan Sparhawk of Low for producing the largest baby boy in the history of rock music. On June 5th at 7:30 p.m. the pair watched their son come into the world at a whooping 10 lbs 8 oz stretching 24 inches long. Once again congratulations!

Savath & Savalas began their first tour of the USA and Canada this past Tuesday. It's a project that includes Scott Herren from Prefuse 73. They've just released their second album on Warp Records. Also on the tour is the Argentinian singer Juana Molina. Take a look at the dates, including stops at Coachella and the Transatlantic Festival, here.

March 13 - Kompakt Records, Miss Kittin and Rephlex Records come together for one HUGE night in Williamsburg, New York. The show is at Volume, located at 99 N. 13th St @ Whythe. This event will feature Superpitcher (Kompakt), Michael Mayer (Kompakt), and Miss Kittin (Astralwerks) in the main space and a smaller room dedicated to Rephlex Records featuring SoundMurderer, DJ MarkOne, DJ Plasticman, DJ Rephlex Records, and Bogdan Raczynski.
